What Can Words Do? Revising the Psalms in a God-awful Time
Using lectures by Dr. Ellen F. Davis, Amos Ragan Kearns Distinguished Professor of Bible and Practical Theology at Duke Divinity School, "What Can Words Do?" explores how we pray and speak truly in this unprecedented and grievous time. The question has never been more acute. We explore psalms appointed for the Sundays in Lent and the Triduum, alongside contemporary poetry, to find our own authentic language for ministry. This course can be completed using the materials below; it is recommended that it be done in groups, watching (or listening to) the recorded lectures and engaging in small-group conversations.
