Photography Policy

The Diocese of North Carolina routinely has staff members or designated representatives present at diocesan events to take photos during the event. These photos may be used in or on diocesan publications, social media, the website, promotional materials or any other use as needed.

The Diocese refrains from photographing children without the permission of the child’s parent or guardian or a signed release obtained as part of youth event registration.

Use of diocesan photos without permission is prohibited. We are happy to share; however, permission must be granted, and appropriate photo credit must accompany the photo.

Photos of the bishops made available for download or print do not need specific permission. They are posted for public use; only appropriate “Courtesy of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina” photo credit is needed.
