The Diocese Gives Thanks for the Ministry of the Rev. Miriam Saxon
The Diocese gives thanks for the ministry of the Rev. Miriam Saxon, retiring vicar of St. Andrew's, Haw River. She served as the vicar of St. Andrew's for nine years, and she previously served as assistant rector at Good Shepherd, Raleigh. Saxon also has served as the chair of the Commission on Ministry to the Diaconate, chair of the Botswana Global Missions Subcommittee and many others. We give thanks for her ministry and wish Saxon and her husband Godspeed as they enter this next chapter of their lives.
Gracious God, we thank you for the work and witness of your servant Miriam, who has enriched this community and brought gladness to friends and family; now bless and preserve her at this time of transition. Guide her in the continued use of your gifts. Give her sustenance for temporal and spiritual needs, friends to cheer her way, and a clear vision of the ministry to which you are now calling her. By your Holy Spirit be present in her pilgrimage, that she may travel with the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
