Companion Relationship Between Dioceses of North Carolina and Costa Rica Takes New Step
Know a bilingual priest who might be interested in serving as rector of a parish in Costa Rica?
The Episcopal Diocese of Costa Rica, with which the Diocese of North Carolina has had a companion relationship since 1997, recently deepened the relationship between to the two dioceses when they asked our assistance in identifying candidates for rector at San Marcos parish in Limon, a port city on the Caribbean coast. Extending this request to us serves to further strengthen the ties between our dioceses.
View the parish profile. (Please feel free to share it. Responses are due by June 30, 2021, and contact information can be found on the diocesan website.)
As both our countries expand vaccinations and our lives return to a semblance of normal, we will be resuming group visits, again sending volunteer teams to Costa Rica and welcoming teams from there to North Carolina as we did pre-COVID. To help keep you informed of these activities, we'll be sharing periodic updates with the churches in each diocese. We have much to learn from each other.
If you're interested in developing relationships with fellow North Carolinians and our friends in Costa Rica, we encourage you to join the Companion Relationship of the Dioceses of Costa Rica and North Carolina Facebook Group.
