GVP Convo Series: “Safeguarding the Holidays, Safeguarding Your Heart”
Anticipation of the holidays includes many joyful things, including spending time with family and friends, and gun violence prevention is a part of that planning. The diocesan Gun Violence Prevention Task Force is hosting the next installment of its Conversation Series to look at a number of holiday considerations, including:
- Having a gun safety conversation with those you plan to visit (or who are visiting you)
- Safe storage resources
- Things to consider with gun-related gifts
- Awareness that the holidays are not joyful for everyone and how to be mindful and supportive of that
- Navigating church safety amidst an influx of visitors
- Advocacy and gratitude
