Clergy of Color Caucus
The Clergy of Color Caucus of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina exists to provide fellowship and mutual support for clergy of color and those who serve communities of color in our diocese. In our common work, we strive to:
- Support historically-Black congregations and other communities of color for vitality
- Encourage efforts to recruit, support and properly compensate lay and ordained leadership of color
- Ensure that diverse voices are present and heard at every level of the diocesan structure
If you are a person of color entering the discernment process, we would be glad to connect with you! Caucus members are available for mentorship, guidance, and support. Feel free to contact your Commission on Ministry (COM) chairs for more information or reach out to the current caucus chair, the Rev. Reggie Payne-Wiens.
