The Diocese Gives Thanks for the Ministry of the Rev. Canon Dr. Sally French
The Diocese gives thanks for the ministry of the Rev. Canon Dr. Sally French, departing diocesan canon missioner for regional ministry and innovative collaboration. French was elected 13th bishop of the Diocese of New Jersey in January, and she leaves the diocesan staff to begin her new journey as bishop-elect.
We wish Sally, her husband, the Rev. Dr. Clarke French, and their children Godspeed on this next stage of their journey and new chapter of ministry!
Gracious God, we thank you for the work and witness of your servant Sally, who has enriched this community and brought gladness to friends and family; now bless and preserve her at this time of transition. Guide her in the continued use of your gifts. Give her sustenance for temporal and spiritual needs, friends to cheer her way, and a clear vision of the ministry to which you are now calling her. By your Holy Spirit be present in his pilgrimage, that she may travel with the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
